Badulla ist ein Bezirk in der Provinz Uva, Sri Lanka. Die gesamte Landfläche des Distrikts Badulla beträgt 2.861 km² und die Gesamtbevölkerung beträgt 837.000. Der Bezirk wird im Osten und Süden von den Bezirken Monaragala und Rathnapura , im Norden von den Bezirken Ampara und Kandy und im Westen von Nuwara Eliya und Matale begrenzt. Die Wirtschaft des Bezirks basiert hauptsächlich auf landwirtschaftlicher Landwirtschaft und Viehzucht.
Der Distrikt Badulla ist ein landwirtschaftlich geprägter Distrikt, in dem Tee, Gemüse und Reis angebaut werden. Hauptsächlich ist der Bezirk je nach klimatischen und geografischen Merkmalen in zwei Teile unterteilt: Obere Region und Untere Region. Der obere Teil des Bezirks ist für seine Teeplantagen und den Gemüseanbau bekannt, während der untere Teil für den Reisanbau bekannt ist.

Bogoda Wooden BridgeThe Bogoda Wooden Bridge was built in the 16th century during the Dambadeniya era. This is said to be the oldest surviving wooden bridge in Sri Lanka. The bridge is situated at 7 kilometres (4.3 mi) west of Badulla.

Dunhinda FallsDunhinda Falls is situated about 5 km away from Badulla town. It is 63 meters high and is considered to be one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Sri Lanka. The falls gets its name dew to the smoky dew drops spray.
