Der Crow Island Beach Park wurde in jüngster Vergangenheit als öffentlicher Park entwickelt. Es liegt neben der Mündung des Kelani-Flusses. Der Park erstreckt sich über ein großes Gebiet. Genauer gesagt sind es 17 Hektar.

Am Eingang sind unter Bäumen mehrere Bänke aufgestellt, die zum Sitzen und Plaudern einladen. Dieser weitläufige, offene Bereich ermöglicht es den Eltern, ihre Kinder spielen zu lassen und sie weiterhin im Auge zu behalten.

Entlang des Parks gibt es viele kleine und große Geschäfte. Auf dem Bild oben könnt ihr einige der kleinen Läden sehen. Spielzeug, Getränke, Snacks und verschiedene Lebensmittel sind darin erhältlich. Sogar einige große Restaurants befinden sich im Crow Island Beach Park.

Crow Island liegt 7 Kilometer nördlich des zentralen Geschäftsviertels von Colombo und hat in der Vergangenheit viele kriminelle Aktivitäten und umfangreiche Umweltverschmutzung erlebt. Nach vielen Protesten wurde dieses Gebiet im Laufe des Jahres in einen familienfreundlichen Freizeit-Strandpark umgewandelt. Dieser Park wurde im April 2016 für die Öffentlichkeit zugänglich gemacht und grenzt an die Mündung des Kelani River. Der Park liegt inmitten von Mangroven und Sümpfen und verfügt über eine Mischung aus Küstenvegetation. Sie können hier einen Spaziergang machen oder einfach nur entspannen und dabei den Blick auf das wunderschöne Wasser schweifen lassen. Hier finden Sie viele Restaurants und Cafés, in denen Sie eine schöne Mahlzeit genießen können.

About Colombo District

Colombo is the largest city and commercial capital of Sri Lanka. It is located on the west coast of the island and adjacent to Sri Jayewardenepura Kotte, the capital city of Sri Lanka. About Western Province

The Western Province is the most densely populated province of Sri Lanka. It is home to the legislative capital Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte as well to Colombo, the nation's administrative and business center. Western Province is divided into 3 main districts called Colombo (642 km²), Gampaha (1,386.6 km²) and Kalutara (1,606 km²) districts. As Sri Lanka's economic hub, all the major local and international corporations have their presence in the city and so do all the major designer and high street retailers, so be ready to indulge in some retail therapy in western province.
